Storyboard Portfolio
(Action) Goodbye Friendly Buddy 2 -Title Sequence
Episode 2 of GFB is currently in production. Since it is a large scale animation project, a full length animatic was vital to sync the dialogue and blocking before fabrication and shooting.
(Comedy) “Eion’s Potty Joke”
Animatic
Using audio from a comedy set, I drew and assembled a storyboard edit to find the comedic timing and blocking.
Reference
I recorded multiple live-action takes of the whole scene and edited the best parts of each take to find the performance. Please don’t mind the underwear.
Rough Animation
In a loose and gestural pass, I nailed down mass, fluidity, and timing based on the reference and audio performance.
Final Animation/Assembly
I cleaned the line-work, added smears, color, and background, then composited all the assets with effects and titles.
(Action) Emerson Productions Donor Video
While at Emerson productions, I developed a campaign video to bolster alumni donations. The animation focuses on different ways their donations benefit the school by following a pigeon, the unofficial mascot of Boston Common, as it zooms around Emerson’s campus.
After scripting the action outline, I pitched it to multiple supervisors and incorporated notes and feedback to edit an animatic as a proof of concept. From then on, we used this to pitch animation briefs to our clients.
(Comedy) Goodbye Friendly Buddy 2 - Nurse Bobbit Scene
These segments from the show feature fast paced arguments and whimsical performances. The storyboard process was crucial for capturing the dynamic tone and natural pacing of a more complex, dialogue-heavy scene.
